Senn líður að skólabyrjun og vonandi eru allir tilbúnir til starfa. Við í skólanum erum í óða önn að skipuleggja, ræða og undirbúa skólastarfið og hlökkum til að taka á móti nemendum þann 25. ágúst. Skólastarfið verður að öllu óbreyttu með hefðbundnum hætti, án skerðingar og allir nemendur eiga að mæta í skólann.
Það eru nokkur atriði sem mikilvægt er að við komum til ykkar svona í blábyrjun.
- Vegna samkomutakmarkana og sóttvarna mega utanaðkomandi ekki koma inn í skólann nema í samráði við skólastjórnendur –þetta á við um foreldra líka. Við boðum foreldra barna í 1. bekk sérstaklega í skólann og senda kennarar þeim foreldrum upplýsingar.
Skólasetning er þriðjudaginn 25. ágúst í salnum í aðalbyggingu og er sem hér segir:
09:00 – 3. og 4. bekkur
10.00 – 5. – 7. bekkur
11.00 – 8. – 10.bekkur
13.00 – 2. bekkur á sal
Skólasetningin verður með nokkuð hefðbundnum hætti en án foreldra.
- Kennsla hefst svo að öllu óbreyttu samkvæmt stundaskrá miðvikudaginn 26. ágúst hjá öllum nema 1.bekk en þau byrja þann 27.ágúst.
Sumardvöl nemenda í 1. bekk verður út þessa viku. Vinahóll frístund er lokuð mánudaginn 24. og þriðjudaginn 25. ágúst en er svo opinn fyrir alla sem þar eru skráðir þann 26. ágúst.
- Foreldrafundir og kynningar hér í skólanum verða að bíða þar til rýmkað hefur verið um samkomutakmarkanir.
Við hvetjum ykkur til að fylgjast vel með Mentor og þeim tilkynningum sem við sendum ykkur – við komum til með að gera okkar besta til að halda ykkur vel upplýstum.
Við erum viðbúin því að mögulega verði starfsemi vetrarins lituð af því að bregðast við ráðleggingum og takmörkunum vegna Covid19 og við kunnum það orðið ágætlega.
Markmiðið er alltaf að hafa skólastarfið gott fyrir börnin okkar og það gerum við saman!

Dear parents and guardians of children in Kársnesskóli,
School is about to start again and I hope you all are ready. Here at school we are busy planning the new school year and look forward to welcoming our students again on August 25th. As the situation is now all students are to attend as normal and will have a regular school day. The only restrictions we have are limiting adults coming into the school as much as possible. This applies to parents and guardians as well and we ask you not to enter the school buildings, unless you are specifically asked to attend a meeting. The parents of children in first grade will be contacted for a meeting with the teachers and they will be hearing from us.
The school opening ceremonies will be on Tuesday August 25th in the hall of the main building at the following times:
09:00 – 3. and 4. grade
10:00 – 5.-7.grade
11:00 – 8.- 10. grade
13.00 – 2. grade
The ceremony will be as usual, but without the parents this time. Students will come to the hall and the principal and the heads of departments will say a few words before the students go to their classrooms with their main teacher. This will take about 35 – 45 minutes.
Regular class will start Wednesday the 26th for all except 1st grade, but they start a day later, on the 27th.
Summer day care for 1st grade will be until the end of this week. Vinahóll day care will be closed Monday the 24th and Tuesday the 25th, but will be open for all those registered for care from August 26th onwards.
As we need to avoid having parents here at school we will do our best to keep you informed via Mentor and emails. Please pay close attention to all information from the school. Covid will have an effect on the school year and we will respond to regulations and health recommendations at each time. We have gotten quite good at coming up with good solutions in each situation but our main goal is to make this as easy on the children as possible. I know you will support us in this goal.
